Leroy Grant
Leroy Grant, co-owner and operator of Celtic Tiger, LLC. Leroy has served as a Title I School Administrator for 19 years. Throughout his time as a building leader, he has a proven track record of creating an environment of high expectations for both staff and student. As a result of his leadership his school communities experienced increase student achievement in the areas of Language Arts and Math and consistent positive climate ratings from staff, students, and families. Leroy has expertise in building structures and innovative programs that led to school improvement. Some of the innovations that Leroy championed include; community and tribal partnerships, “in-school” mental health supports, and English Learner instructional designs. In addition to these effective systems, Leroy has 12 years of leader mentoring experience through successful supervision of; Assistant Principals, Administrative Interns, and Instructional Coaches.
Meghan McCarthy-Grant
Meghan McCarthy-Grant, co-owner and operator of Celtic Tiger, LLC can offer twenty years of diverse educational leadership experience. Four of those years were serving as Principal of Title I schools in Anchorage School District (ASD) and Matanuska Borough School District (MBSD). Three of those years was spent as Principal of Chester Valley Elementary where she was a successful “turn around” principal. Her leadership resulted in achievement gains, mental health supports for students, innovative programs, and community partnerships. Meghan leveraged community partnerships to create “Learning Pods” during the Pandemic and was successful in providing in person educational support to her students. In addition to 6 years of teaching experience Meghan has managed Federal Programs for several Alaska districts including MBSD, Lower Yukon School District, and Galena City School District. As a consultant she provided evaluation services for multiple grants, school improvement guidance, and budget and programmatic alignment.
